On February 25, 2026 Just World Ed launched a series of timely conversations on “The Iran Crisis”, as Part 2 of the project on “Gaza and the World” which it had presented in late 2025.
The first episode in this new series was a conversation that JWE president Helena Cobban conducted on February 25 with strategic analyst Elijah Magnier. Find a summary of that convo, along with links to the video and audio recordings, here. Similar summaries of each of the episodes will be posted on Just World Ed’s blog soon after each conversation concludes, so check back often.
We’ll be releasing videos of all the convos in this series at or before 1 pm ET each day on Just World Ed’s YouTube page. For audio listeners, we’re releasing them on our channels on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Buzzsprout.
We’re planning additional convos in this series according to this schedule:
- Feb. 26 ~ Bill Quandt, a Middle East/ West Asia expert who was Pres. Carter’s top regional advisor, and is also a veteran analyst of U.S. national-security decisionmaking
- Feb. 27 ~ Ray McGovern, a CIA analyst for several decades who then became a vigorous peace activist and a co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS)
- March 2 ~ Trita Parsi, a long-time specialist on Iranian and regional affairs who is also Vice-President of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft
